On weekends, Ivar and his wife Marcelle enjoy 4-wheeling and look forward to cruising the highway in their motorhome. Definitely the peace keeper, supporting Kelowna Transmission & Auto Repair throughout the years has been ultimately fulfilling for Marcelle. Marcelle and Ivar moved to Kelowna in 1993 where together they raised their three wonderful children, Ryan, Randy and Mckenzie. Growing the business has presented Marcelle with opportunities to proudly support important organizations such as the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, the Okanagan College Trades Training Centre Complex as well as local community food banks. Marcelle and Ivar spend much of their free time side by side, an example of their life-long partnership outside of the family business. Marcelle believes all customers, including women, have the right to feel welcome and respected and hopes you will visit the shop the next time you’re in need of auto service, repairs or advice.

In February 2020, Shawn became the most recent addition to the Kelowna Transmission & Auto Repair family. With over 30 years invested in the industry, Shawn brings with him unmatched experience, including managing a two-decade award winning local service department. After 27 years of friendship, Shawn decided to join the family. Involved in all day to day operations, Shawn thoroughly enjoys managing the business. In his spare time, Shawn enjoys reading fiction, bike riding, cooking and has a fascination with philosophy and human nature. A proud parent to Alexandra, Jesse and Dayton and grandparent to Annie and Oscar, Shawn looks forward to continuing to provide excellent service to you and your family now and in the future.

Randy, son of Ivar and Marcelle, was happy to join the family business in 2013. Randy contributes a wealth of knowledge, exceptional customer service skills and a permanent smile. An interesting fact about Randy is that he has 9 screws and 1 drill bit in his foot. But that doesn’t stop him from enjoying our beautiful Okanagan to the fullest with hobbies like golfing and 4-wheeling. Born and raised in Kelowna, Matt has become an important member of Kelowna Transmission & Auto Repair team since joining the business 2013. Matt’s focus is on general auto repairs, vehicle inspections, diagnostics and fabrication. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing computer games. Matt also enjoys many outdoor activities such as dirt biking, 4-wheeling and camping, of course. Matt is a knowledgeable and experienced technician who takes great pride in high quality work.
