Required Skills:

  • 1st through 4th year automotive apprentice
  • Must have at least a partial tool set
  • Talented, detail-oriented self-starter
  • High work ethic with a strong desire to learn and produce quality work
  • Positive attitude
  • Works well both independently and in a team

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of an automotive technician to diagnose the cause of automotive issues and provide recommendations to resolve the issues
  • Learn repair techniques under the supervision of an automotive technician
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks under the supervision of an automotive technician, testing the vehicle to verify the repair before returning it to the customer
  • Follow shop policies regarding work flow, vehicle inspections, paperwork, parts, repairs and cleanup
  • Help the other technicians or employees as needed and be friendly with customers and fellow employees
  • Keep up to date with current industry best practices
  • Keep your tools and work area clean and safe
